HAU is a one-terminal field, so walking times are short — the schedule risk is west-Norwegian weather on a lone 13/31 runway plus bunched SAS / Norwegian / leisure banks. Same-day connections via Oslo (or a road/air pivot via Stavanger/Bergen) need a real buffer even when the landside hall looks empty. The building opens only about 1.5 hours before the first departure and tracks the flight programme, so ultra-early show-ups and planned overnights inside the terminal are not options.

Check-in and bag drop sit landside in the single terminal. After security, follow domestic vs international signage before you settle into Food Bar or Point. Nordea ATMs are published at the main entrance / check-in area, at security, and at international departures. Bookable meeting rooms (**Eirik Blodøks** 7 people; **Harald Hårfagre** 15 people) are conference hire with Wi-Fi, whiteboard, and ClickShare projector — not a flyer lounge substitute. Re-check screens for gate calls; the campus is short but times still move in weather.

Food Bar and Point airside; Duty Free on international; hours follow flights, not a 24/7 mall.

Both dining outlets are stated to open for all departures — still expect a thinner offer on sparse winter banks than on summer leisure peaks. Haugesund harbour food still wins if your timetable allows.

Kolumbus stops at the airport junction / Park Inn — not at the curb — so budget a short taxi for the last about 3 km.
