DigiYatra can shrink domestic entry / CISF / boarding for enrolled Indian nationals when the e-gates are staffed (ToI: six entry gates, four security, nine boarding, one transfer). CJB remains a single-runway, single-terminal gateway with IndiGo-heavy banks and an interim hold-area expansion now due December 2026. Domestic ~2 hours early is the sane default; thin international banks (Scoot Singapore, Air Arabia Sharjah, IndiGo Abu Dhabi) want a full ~3 hours for check-in, CISF, and outbound immigration. Priority Pass / LoungeKey BlackBerry is 10:00–21:30; DragonPass lists 10:00–21:00 — useless for a 06:00 domestic push.

Use the signed Kovai Airport Tourist Taxi prepaid counters in arrivals (AAI also lists a city-side counter) or a signed app-cab bay. TNSTC runs Airport–Gandhipuram. Coimbatore Junction is 9 km on the AAI transport page (AIP ARP 11 km from Coimbatore Railway Station) — there is no passenger rail or metro into the building. AAI parking in front of the terminal is 24h: car ₹20 / first 30 min, ₹55 to two hours, ₹10 per extra hour to seven, ₹165 overnight.

Confirm IATA CJB / ICAO VOCB on the boarding pass and hotel transfer voucher. MAA (Chennai) and TRZ (Tiruchirappalli) are different airports. Same-day recovery between them is a long paid road transfer.
