Terminal navigation guide

Terminal-change and gate-area notes pulled from the markdown guide.

From Terminals & Navigation

Treat BJF as one compact fixed-wing terminal opened with the new airport in 1999: landside check-in / arrivals, then a single security filter into the airside hold, with the control tower integrated into the same building (English Wikipedia).
Walking distances are short; there is no airside train and no multi-terminal fixed-wing transfer. Still re-check screens when weather moves times.
Handling contact published on the contact page: Widerøe Ground Handling (+47 948 85 740, batsfjord@wideroe.no) for scheduled fixed-wing.
Car hire on Avinor’s car-rental page: Båtsfjord bilutleie / Båtsfjord Car Center delivers and picks up at the airport (78 98 39 92) — hours follow the flight programme; this is a local meet-and-greet desk, not a multi-brand Avis/Hertz hall.
Common mistakes: expecting a Priority Pass lounge, assuming a Narvesen/Point walk-up like larger Avinor regionals, arriving during the Sunday 15:00–20:30 closed window, or confusing Båtsfjord with Berlevåg (BVG) or Vardø (VAW).

Ground transport guide

City-transfer, rideshare, train, and parking guidance from the markdown guide.

From Ground Transport & Parking

Town transfer — Entur places Båtsfjord centre stop about 4 km by road from the airport coordinates (great-circle ~4.0 km from published field position to Båtsfjord sentrum). Roughly 5–10 minutes by road in normal conditions. There is no rail station at the airport.
Taxi — practical default for bags and Finnmark weather; expect the order of 5–10 minutes into town. Confirm the live rank or pre-book a local company. Avinor’s current English Båtsfjord pages do not publish a dedicated taxi company phone — ask the fare before bags go in.
Bus — Entur stop Båtsfjord lufthavn (NSR:StopPlace:59249) exists as an airport / on-street bus venue, but research-time samples did not show a dense dedicated airport shuttle — only board when Entur lists a real departure for your flight bank. Avinor does not currently publish a live English to-and-from page for BJF.
Car hire — Båtsfjord bilutleie / Båtsfjord Car Center (78 98 39 92) on Avinor’s car-rental page; delivers and collects at the airport; hours follow the flight programme.
Parking — Free on Avinor’s parking page; OnePark service line 64 81 19 80. Useful for kerbside pick-up when you exit quickly; still read the live Avinor parking note before leaving a car overnight in winter conditions.
