FUE · FUE is Fuerteventura’s single-terminal Aena leisure gateway: 6,886,935 passengers in 2025, clear Schengen/non-Schengen flows, a usable Jable VIP Lounge for Priority Pass / DragonPass holders, and Tiadhe guagua links toward Puerto del Rosario, Caleta de Fuste and the south — undone mainly by winter UK/German security and passport banks plus long metered taxis to Morro Jable.
ACE · ACE is Lanzarote’s compact Aena leisure gateway: a clear T1/T2 campus, Guacimeta VIP for Priority Pass holders, and solid Arrecife Bus links to Arrecife and the southern resorts — undone mainly by winter UK/German security and passport banks plus chain-heavy airside food.

UK/German leisure banks beat midday island hops
Winter-sun UK/DE changeover mornings are when FUE feels smaller than its passenger count—arrive earlier than the resort transfer suggests.
One terminal — Schengen vs non-Schengen is the real fork
Compact single-terminal campus: the failure mode is underestimating non-Schengen passport/EES time after security, not finding the right building.
Lounge reset or landside meal — airside is holiday-chain territory
Functional leisure-airport F&B—not a food destination. Plan calories before security or inside Jable.
