ECN · Ercan's 2023 terminal is large and simple, and the trip still depends on a Turkey nonstop plus the Republic of Cyprus entry rule.
LCA · Cyprus’s main gateway: a walkable 2009 Hermes terminal with solid Kapnos/Limassol coaches, classic EU liquids rules, and a 24/7 Skala Lounge upstairs from Duty Free — easy to use, busy in summer, still non-Schengen.

Ercan is not a Republic of Cyprus entry point
The Republic of Cyprus foreign ministry says the legal airports are Larnaca and Paphos, and that an airport in the north is not one of them.
The homepage clock is the winter offset
The English homepage prints GMT+2. On 23 September 2026, Ercan is on daylight time, UTC+3, until the clocks go back.
Use the 2023 building, not the old photos
The current terminal opened on 20 July 2023. Commons frames from 2013 and 2018 show the terminal it replaced.

Summer LCA is passport + bag-drop time, not walking time
Peak-summer queues beat walking distance — pad for passport control and bag drop, not the terminal length.
One terminal — Skala is upstairs by Chanel, not at the gate cluster
Single 2009 terminal; lounge access is the Chanel-adjacent Duty Free lift to floor 3 after security.
Fuel in the commercial core — do not plan a destination meal
Adequate airside cafés and Duty Free; eat in Larnaca if the layover is long and you clear arrivals.
