CATSA

One checkpoint — no U.S. cutoff

Level-2 CATSA is the whole sterile job. There is no 16:30 CBP trap here because there is no preclearance.

Official counters generally open 3 hours before international flights and 2 hours before transborder/domestic, and usually close an hour before departure — confirm with the airline. Live CATSA PBS waits post on catsa-acsta.gc.ca; a daytime snapshot in this research window was 5–10 minutes, overnight can read Not available.

Layout

Check-in down, holdroom up

Bags, ICE, taxis, Nourcy, and the RTC machine sit on the ground floor. After CATSA you are on the second-floor holdroom around Gates 29–37.

One sterile side after the single checkpoint. Wrong-level panic is the usual first-timer mistake, not a second terminal.

Eat

Blaxton / A&W / Brûlerie after CATSA

Sit-down is Blaxton at Gate 33 (from 03:30 until the last flight). A&W is Gate 30 (03:00–20:00). Brûlerie Rousseau par Nourcy is Gate 32 (03:00–20:00).

Landside Nourcy Café Traiteur (03:30–20:00, ground floor by check-in) is for meeters. Lobbie is still not a live restaurant. Duty Free at Gate 33 follows international banks only.

Lounge

Air Canada Café is real — PP is not

The 97-seat Café at Gate 29 opened 16 Jun 2026. Club Med is boarded up. Boréal is still a fall-2026 card.

Official 2025 traffic: 1,741,273 main-terminal passengers and 1,819,553 including general aviation (+4.7% vs 1,737,803). January–July 2026 main-terminal sum on the live stats page: 1,072,672. AQi’s 2030 target is 2.4 million.
One CATSA checkpoint on level 2 (stairs/elevator by the information desk). Official FAQ: no U.S. CBP preclearance — only CBSA. Secret Flying / blog copy that invents a U.S. hall is wrong.
