SKG is a mid-size Fraport Greece field, but July–August international charters and Aegean/Ryanair banks pack T1/T2 landside hard. The airport’s own border-control notice flags longer Entry/Exit System (EES) waits for non-Schengen departures — arrive when check-in opens and finish emigration early. Same-day ATH or island connections with checked bags need a real buffer, especially when the main 10/28 approach is weather-limited.

Follow terminal and gate screens after the central security filter; Schengen and non-Schengen dwell areas and F&B differ. Lounges cluster airside (AEGEAN on the departures ground floor; Prima Vista / The Lounge / Skyserv upstairs). Landside is for meet-and-greet and CITYPARK lots opposite the terminal — do not kerb-park on arrivals/departures roadways.

Hellenic Duty Free covers both Schengen and non-Schengen. Hours track the flight programme — early winter mornings can be thin outside the first café to open.
