SKG is a mid-size Fraport Greece field, but July–August international charters and Aegean/Ryanair banks pack T1/T2 landside hard. The airport’s own border-control notice flags longer Entry/Exit System (EES) waits for non-Schengen departures — arrive when check-in opens and finish emigration early. Same-day ATH or island connections with checked bags need a real buffer, especially when the main 10/28 approach is weather-limited.

Follow terminal and gate screens after the central security filter; Schengen and non-Schengen dwell areas and F&B differ. Default budget path is OASTH 1X (day) / 1N (night) from Exit 4 toward centre / New Railway Station / KTEL Makedonia; 2X and 3X feed Nea Elvetia and Mikra metro for Line 1 transfers.
