Terminal navigation guide

Terminal-change and gate-area notes pulled from the markdown guide.

From Terminals & Navigation

There is one passenger terminal, with arrivals, departures, a mezzanine, and offices, measuring 78,200 square metres. CAM lists a design capacity of 10 million passengers a year and a design hour of 2,300 passengers in one direction. Traffic in 2025 was 7,521,344, under that design cap.
Eight passenger loading bridges, 25 aircraft stands, and 15 business-jet stands are on the CAM capacity table. The same table lists Runway 34 at 3,360 metres and Runway 16 at 3,285 metres, both 45 metres wide plus 7.5-metre shoulders, elevation 6.2 metres, operating 24 hours. Those are the two directions of the single runway. Runway 34 has CAT II approach lights. Runway 16 has a simple approach.
Check-in is on the departure floor in zones A, B, C, and D. Published self-service kiosks cover Air Macau, Xiamen Airlines (temporarily unavailable), and Starlux. The page says more airlines may be added.
Plaza Premium Lounge is in the restricted area on the mezzanine above Gate 9/9A. Plaza Premium First is in the restricted area on that same mezzanine, next to Gate 10/10A. The Air Macau Lounge is on level 2 of the departure hall, and the airport page does not call that room a restricted-area lounge.
Smoking rooms are at the north and south ends of the airside departure hall and are listed as open 24 hours.
Complimentary wheelchairs are requested at the information counters in the public departure or arrival areas, or at the left-luggage counter on the north side of the departure level.
Luggage storage is listed on the departure level, 24 hours. The amenities table does not publish a price.
First International Resources money exchange is at shop K on the landside departure floor, kiosk X on the landside arrival floor, kiosk Z on the airside arrival floor, and shop 8A on the airside departure floor. Wikimedia Commons records the airport's official opening as 9 November 1995.

Macao LRT Airport Station is on Avenida Wai Long and connects to the passenger terminal's north exit. On the Taipa Line it sits between MUST and Taipa Ferry Terminal. Service is 06:30–23:15 Monday to Thursday, and 06:30–23:59 on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays, about every 5 to 10.5 minutes. The Hengqin Line, opened 2 December 2024, is a separate short line between Lotus and Hengqin Port. Use the station signs for that transfer rather than guessing a platform.
An adult single-journey LRT ticket, for ages 12 and older, is MOP 6 for 3 stations or fewer, MOP 8 for up to 6, MOP 10 for up to 9, and MOP 12 for up to 12. Each sea crossing between Barra and Ocean, and between Hengqin and Lotus, counts as two stations. Children under one metre are not charged. The concession card for elderly passengers and passengers with disabilities is free.
The airport bus table lists Transmac 26, 51A, AP1, MT4, and 51B, plus TCM 36, MT1, and overnight N2, each at MOP 6. The airport marks the times "for reference only." Route 51B does not run on Sundays or public holidays. AP1 is listed through about 01:20 toward the Barrier Gate. N2 is listed from midnight to 06:00. Transmac is +853 2827 1122. TCM is +853 2885 0060.
Complimentary hotel shuttles are described in the north parking lot, every 15 to 20 minutes between 11:00 and 21:00, times for reference only. The page does not name the hotels.
Taxis charge MOP 21 for the first 1,600 metres and MOP 2 for each further 220 metres, plus MOP 2 for every 55 seconds of waiting. Boarding at the airport taxi stand adds MOP 8. Each bag carried in the boot is MOP 3. The airport marks the table "for reference only." Taxi enquiry lines are +853 2828 3283 and +853 2881 2345.
Two outdoor car parks sit at the two ends of the terminal. Private cars are MOP 6 an hour and motorcycles MOP 2. A fraction of an hour is charged as one hour. The parking page does not publish a daily cap. The shroff is in the arrival hall, customer service +853 8898 2519. Spaces near the building are reserved for disabled drivers. Payment methods shown are cash, MPAY, MPark, Macau Pass, and senseless payment.
At 03:15 on 24 September 2026 the parking display showed 131 hourly and 30 monthly spaces in the north car park, and 150 hourly and 30 monthly spaces in the south car park. Those counts change. No space is held for a passenger who is still in the queue.
From 00:00 on 25 September 2026 until 23:59 on 4 October 2026, a 50 percent parking discount for at most 120 hours applies only to hourly spaces, and only if the traveler flies out of MFM and back and redeems it at the shroff with matching ID and both original boarding passes before driving out. A fee already taken by MPark is not refunded. Outside those dates the regular hourly rate applies.
