Leeds, United Kingdom · Europe
Compact Yorkshire leisure gateway and Jet2 home base — one terminal at England’s highest commercial airfield, FLYER buses instead of rail, classic 100 ml security with in-bag liquids/electronics, and a single Priority Pass lounge (Six Eight One) after Avro closed.
Editorial 0–10 from comfort, navigation, food, transport, and disruption resilience — not a Google rating.

FLYER A1/A2/A3; Transdev 2026 adult singles £2.50 (West Yorkshire) / £3 (beyond).
Leeds Bradford sits on the ridge at Yeadon with no station under the terminal. Transdev’s FLYER A1 links Leeds city centre / station corridor to the airport (timetable commonly every ~20–30 minutes daytime; early and late frequencies thin out — check the live A1 board). A2 covers Bradford and Harrogate; A3 covers Otley and Bradford, and A2+A3 together give Bradford a denser combined frequency. Airport Getting Here copy usually frames buses from about 06:00 to about 22:00 including weekends and bank holidays. Transdev’s 2026 FLYER fares page: adult single £2.50 for journeys wholly inside West Yorkshire, or £3 if you cross the boundary — buy on the Transdev Go app or from the driver. Through rail+bus tickets exist via Leeds and Bradford Interchange. Official taxi partner is Arrow Cars (0113 258 5888 / app / arrivals kiosk); other private hire must use Pick Up & Drop Off or the One Hour Free zone, not the terminal forecourt rank.
Classic 100 ml; liquids/electronics stay in bag; Fast Track is the paid right-hand lane.
Airport Security help: keep liquids and electronics in the cabin bag; liquids/gels must still be in containers of 100 ml or less; no clear plastics bag is required; remove leg-covering boots; one lighter or e-cigarette per person. After security you may buy full-size liquids and refill empty bottles at the airport’s water fountains. Destination airports on the return may still be stricter — pack for the tighter end of the itinerary. Fast Track is the paid lane on the right as you enter security: book online at least one hour before departure, show the confirmation email plus boarding pass at the e-gates, then complete the same screening rules as everyone else. Infants under 2 use Fast Track free and do not need a ticket. Morning Jet2/Ryanair banks (roughly 05:00–08:00) are when the single hall bites — Fast Track or a very early arrive is the practical insurance.
Sole lounge; PP/DragonPass/LoungeKey subject to space; seasonal close 20:00 vs 17:00.
After security, walk through Duty Free — Six Eight One sits in the extended departures area (Priority Pass lists it between gates 8 and 9 after Duty Free). Airport lounge page: chef-prepared buffet, complimentary bar (beer/wine/spirits), barista coffee/soft drinks, free Wi-Fi, flight screens, guest toilets, and a dedicated quiet area with airfield windows and workstations. Published airport hours: 04:00–20:00 April–October and 04:00–17:00 October–March. Priority Pass currently advertises 04:00–20:00 daily with max stay 3 hours, access from 3 hours before departure, smart casual (no sportswear / baseball caps), children under 3 free on PP. Priority Pass / DragonPass / LoungeKey walk-ups are capacity-controlled; the only way to guarantee a seat is a paid pre-book on the airport flow (network members can also pre-book a paid guaranteed slot). Airport group-booking policy caps online parties at six adults. Do not plan on the former Avro Lounge — it has been closed and folded into this single product.
Pick Up & Drop Off £8 / first 10 minutes for cars; One Hour Free is up the hill in Mid Stay.
Closest set-down is the chargeable, cashless Pick Up & Drop Off car park about a one-minute walk from the terminal — pay at the exit barrier. Airport parking FAQ table (live on the Parking page): cars £8.00 for 0–10 minutes, £10.00 for 10–20, £12.50 for 20–30, £15.50 for 30–60, then £15.50 per further hour or part; higher columns apply to larger passenger vehicles. For longer waits the One Hour Free zone sits inside Mid Stay off Whitehouse Lane (right after entry) — when that pocket is full, use any Mid Stay bay; it is a walk, not a with-bags kerb substitute. Premium Short Stay walks to the terminal and includes Fast Track for up to two people on the airport product copy. Do not stop on airport roadways — the airport warns of parking charge notices.
