Timing

Book TimeSlot or FastTrack for peaks

Reserve security access ahead for early mornings and school holidays instead of relying on the standard queue.

TimeSlot is free–£4.99 with a fixed window up to 60 days ahead (until 75 minutes before departure). FastTrack from £5.49 uses a dedicated lane 03:00–22:00; book up to 12 months ahead or until one hour before departure.

Terminal

Ryanair = T3 Departures; everyone else = T2

The old Terminal 1 name is gone — Ryanair uses the door now signed Terminal 3 Departures.

Airport media (11 March 2026) and the live T3 / Ryanair pages: Ryanair enter Terminal 3 Departures (previously Terminal 1 Departures A). The leftover Terminal 1 webpage that still describes a Ryanair T1 check-in hall is stale.

Food

Use T2 for the widest F&B choice

If you have lounge or Priority Pass restaurant access, confirm the terminal before you clear security.

T2 has the Great Northern Market and most lounges. T3 is Ryanair-only and still absorbing former T1 space. Aspire D Gates sits next to the T2 food market and is the late PP/LK option (to 22:00).

Status

Pay drop-off online by midnight next day

Use free drop-off + shuttle if you want to avoid the forecourt fee, and never collect from drop-off lanes.

Forecourts are barrierless ANPR. T2 and T3 drop-off is £5.50/5 min. Picking up in the drop-off zone is a £100 charge. T2 Express Pick Up (P3) is £6.60/15 min; APCOA lists T3 Express Pick Up at £6.60/20 min.
