An editorial 0–10 score. The overall is exactly the weighted sum of six traveler categories — not a Google rating and not a poll.

Most important tips
A compact traveler cheat sheet for timing, terminals, food, and disruption checks.
Official HDOT leftover is to arrive at least two hours before departure. Bags close 30 minutes out. TSA opens 4:35 a.m. and closes after the last departure.
Hawaiian.com leftover is 1 hour 30 minutes and counter 6:00 a.m.–8:30 p.m. — leftover vs the HDOT 2-hour / 4:35 a.m. card. PreCheck is on the Hawaiian ITO card. CLEAR and ConfirmID $45 are not on official HDOT pages. averageSecurityMinutes 12 on the score card is editorial unpublished.
Check in, USDA, TSA, and the holdroom are one ground-level story. Official leftover then routes you to the second level to board through loading bridges.
Hawaiian leftover East End lobby / bag claim D. Southwest leftover Lobby 2 / bag claim C. Official leftover bag claim C still prints United — leftover vs the live two-airline list. Do not treat the west CAT / helicopter ramp as a second departure hall. Do not merge KOA.
Official leftover kitchens are Laniakea Cafe (daily 5:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m.) and Laniakea Express (daily 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.). Tiare Enterprise Gift Shop is TEMPORARILY CLOSED.
Newsstand leftover 6:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. daily, 9:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Wednesday, CLOSED Saturday. Ah Lan's Lei Stand leftover Mon–Thu and Sat 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Friday 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., CLOSED Sunday. Official pages do not print a bottle price or map a filler.
Two live names only. Hawaiian leftover HNL and OGG. Southwest leftover HNL plus a published Mon/Thu/Fri LAS nonstop that began 6 Aug 2026 — confirm FIDS.
Official homepage leftover still says the airport is served by interisland airlines. Official ticketing leftover still names Mokulele at the CAT. Official bag-claim leftover still names United. BTS leftover Alaska is leftover. Do not invent American, Delta, jetBlue, Frontier, Spirit, Allegiant, or a live international passenger airline.
