Check-in and security for every destination are in Terminal 4, on the ground floor and then upstairs. Schengen departures stay in T4 and skip the border check. Non-Schengen passengers walk the pedestrian bridge to Terminal 3 and show documents there. The airport's own examples of that walk are Luton, Liverpool, Dublin, Istanbul, Tel Aviv, and Larnaca.

In T4, gates 1–14 are upstairs and gates 15–20 are downstairs. The same passenger page's one-line labels call both T3 and T4 non-Schengen; the flows section is the part that separates them.

Terminal 2 is not a passenger terminal. The airport says it is non-functional and is to be reconfigured as cargo. Terminal 1 is administrative offices.

Cabin liquids, aerosols, and gels must be in containers of 100 ml or less, inside one resealable clear bag, with a total of no more than 1 litre. The airport says spare batteries and power banks can be held at security if the airline treats them as dangerous.

Pets travel only after the airline agrees in advance. Items lost in the terminal go to the Border Police at +40 232 460 280 or aero.iasi@mai.gov.ro. Lost baggage is handled in Arrivals: Menzies at IAS.passenger@menziesaviation.com and 0740 096 071 for Wizz Air, Ryanair, Austrian Airlines, and HiSky, and TAROM at apiasi@tarom.ro and 0749 277 951.

As of Digi24's report updated 9 March 2026, the Iași emergency inspectorate said passenger terminals T3 and T4 were open without a fire-safety authorization. T4 was built under a 2022 fire-safety opinion and put into service before that authorization. This check found no later notice that the authorization had been issued.

The airport's destination directory was last updated in its CMS on 17 October 2025. A flight-board extract created on 23 September 2026 also showed Heraklion and Thessaloniki, which are not in that directory. Use the day's board for what is actually operating.

Kiss & Ride (Zone 2) is free for the first 10 minutes, then 5 lei per minute. Coming back within 60 minutes does not start a new free period. A stay over 4 hours in Kiss & Ride can be clamped or moved at the driver's cost.

Security is only in T4. Schengen boards there. Non-Schengen crosses to T3.

The passenger page updated 21 September 2026 puts check-in and security in T4 for every destination. Schengen flights stay in T4 with no border check. Non-Schengen flights, including the airport's examples of Luton, Liverpool, Dublin, Istanbul, Tel Aviv, and Larnaca, use the pedestrian bridge to T3.

Bus 50 is 4 lei

CTP says the express runs every 30 minutes, day and night. The airport describes a shorter day.

Toward the airport the stops are Gara, Piața Unirii, Târgu Cucu, optional Str. Moara de Vânt, and Aeroport. The 4 lei ticket lasts 120 minutes on urban CTP routes after it is validated on line 50. Children under 7 ride free.

Read the 2026 parking card, not the English page

Kiss & Ride is 10 minutes free, then 5 lei a minute. Zone 3 is 15 minutes free.

The March 2026 regulation and the 2026 tariff card set those free windows, and a return inside 60 minutes does not reset them. The English passenger page still mentions a 7-minute free window and a machine in Terminal 2. T2 is not a passenger terminal.

LoungeTraveler Tips & Hacks

The lounge is Schengen only

25 euros for 3 hours in T4, daily 06:00–21:00. Nothing equivalent is published in T3.

Elite Air opened the Business Lounge on 8 May 2026. The airport later said Priority Pass, DragonPass, LoungeKey, and partner premium cards can be used, depending on the issuer. No program lounge code was confirmed in this check, and showers are not advertised.
