Web check-in or pay at the desk

FlyOne web check-in closes 4 hours before departure; LIGHT is free from 12 hours, STANDARD from 24 hours. Airport desks if you skip the web: 36–120 EUR.

FlyOne desks open 3 hours out and close 60 minutes before departure. Wizz Air RMO follows the standard 2 hours / 40 minutes desk window (RMO is not on Wizz’s exception list) and online check-in until 3 hours. Peak crowding is 05:00–07:00 — first visit sit 3 hours.

One hall

Do not look for a second passenger terminal

Live campus is one passenger hall (1970s core plus the 2002 Akfen annex). Overhead airside signs list Gates 1–3 / 4–6 / 7–9. The VIP block is a different building.

A ~5,000 m² expansion that would lift gates from about 7 to 13 is not live — the tender was contested and the minister only hoped for October. Do not navigate as if extra piers exist.

Water

Fill at the fountains; the cheap bottle is 35 lei

Free drinking fountains have been on campus since 12 July 2025 (front of the terminal, boarding-gate area, Arrivals; airside at Gate 9 reported Jan/Feb 2026).

Dorna 0.5 L was 35 lei on a café board in March 2025. Treat that as the sourced purchase price; a later 15 lei camera quote is unverified. Aerofood’s Plai / Aero Cafe / lounge contract ended 28 February 2025 — the airport now runs F&B.

Codes

Book RMO, not leftover KIV

Tickets, FIDS and boarding passes use RMO. KIV was the Soviet Kishinev code and is not a live public slug on this site.

Moldova is not Schengen. Visa-free 90/180 for EU/UK/US/Canada and others; EU ID cards are accepted. US Embassy: passport valid 3 months beyond the stay (airlines may still ask for 6).

Named Aeroportul Internațional „Eugen Doga” – Chișinău from 17 July 2025 (HG 447 of 16 July 2025).
One live passenger hall ~13 km southeast of the city; the VIP building is a separate landside product, not a scheduled door.
6,080,431 passengers in 2025 (CAA.md), +46.8% vs 4,142,413 in 2024 — already past the leftover 5.4M hall capacity.
Not Schengen. No metro. No airport rail. Cheapest city ride is RTEC trolleybus 30.
Hubs for FlyOne, HiSky, SkyUp and Wizz Air (Wizz base back 16 December 2024). Air Moldova is gone.
