Compact terminal, but CPH banks and charter peaks still punish last-minute arrivals — dual runways help, birds and weather do not.

Absolute walks are short in one terminal, but morning/evening Copenhagen banks (SAS + Norwegian) and summer charter waves still create bag-drop and security spikes. Dual runways help when one strip is occupied, yet AIP bird notices (especially dawn/dusk toward the Limfjord, Sep–Apr guidance on full-length take-offs) and winter weather remain the real delay risks. Build more buffer if you must connect same-day by train toward the rest of Denmark after a late inbound.

Single public terminal: security, duty-free, Level 1 lounge, then gates — ignore the military side of the field.

Landside check-in / arrivals on the main floor; security then airside retail and gates. Priority Pass and the airport place the lounge after security and duty-free on Level 1. Re-check FIDS for Schengen vs non-Schengen holds and any bus-gate calls. Military aprons and Air Transport Wing areas are not passenger routes — stay in the public terminal and follow yellow/black wayfinding.

Enough for a plate and coffee; lounge beats scrambling DELI when the Copenhagen bank is packed.

Airside food is a small Danish mix: DELI grab-and-go (opens ~2 h before first departure, closes after last outbound; &COFFEE earlier evening close), Heineken Gastro Pub, and lounge cold tapas/snacks if you have access. Landside has vending plus a hot-dog stand in arrival hall 2 (FAQ: roughly 10:30–21:00/22:00). Not a capital food court — use the lounge on a long CPH connection or eat in Aalborg if you have hours landside.

Rail is the honest default into town (~10 min, from 24 DKK for 2 zones); buses backup; taxi for bags or off-hours.

Walk to Aalborg Lufthavn Station (few hundred metres) for DSB toward Aalborg C (~10 min). Airport published 2-zone adult from 24 DKK. NT buses remain frequent for city and regional legs; Rejseplanen is authoritative after 2025–2026 Lindholm hub / express-bus changes. Taxi is fine with luggage or late nights but poor value versus the train for central hotels. Economy parking at 30 DKK/day is among Denmark’s cheaper airport lots if you self-drive.
