Short terminal, long city transfer — pad the 925X and peak bag-drop, not the walk to the gate.

The terminal itself is compact, so absolute walks are short. The schedule risk is the 45–50 minute 925X ride from Aarhus H plus Midttrafik’s flight-tied timetable: if your outbound is early or charter banks stack, build city-side buffer rather than relying on a last bus. Security and bag-drop still spike before SAS Copenhagen banks and summer Ryanair / charter waves. Dual published strips help operations, but winter weather on Djursland remains the usual delay driver.

Single terminal: security → tax-free → public Sky Lounge / Ingerslevs → gates; no Priority Pass lounge to chase.

Landside: check-in / bag drop, Aarhus Airport Hotel access, and arrivals. After security you enter tax-free / kiosk, then the HAY-furnished Sky Lounge departure level with runway views and Ingerslevs. Re-check FIDS for Schengen vs non-Schengen holds and any bus-gate calls. Smoking is only in the marked airside smoking room by the wine section of the shop (airport tax-free FAQ) — not at open gates.

Ingerslevs is the real plate; kiosk/tax-free covers coffee and sweets on a tight turn.

Ingerslevs (airport restaurant page) serves Danish smørrebrød, pizza sandwiches, breakfast items and local East Jutland produce with runway views from the upper level. Tax-free / kiosk covers sweets, drinks and a quick coffee. Landside options are thin (hotel breakfast via room service windows if you overnight). Not a capital food court — eat in Aarhus if you have hours before the 925X.

Default is 925X (128 DKK adult, ~45–50 min); taxi when bags, kids, or the bus pattern has gone home.

Midttrafik’s published airport-bus single is 128 DKK adult / 64 DKK child (pensioner 128 DKK). The bus is timed to flights and waits for delayed arrivals per airport copy — still verify the live “to and from” board for cancellations. Taxis rank outside arrivals (Aarhus Taxa / Dantaxi and local firms listed by the airport); third-party transfer quotes often land around the mid-hundreds of DKK to Aarhus C for ~30–40 minutes — get a live app max price rather than trusting stale blogs.
