TFN · TFN is Tenerife’s city-side / domestic hub at fog-prone Los Rodeos: one clear Aena terminal, Nivaria for Priority Pass, and short TITSA rides into Santa Cruz and La Laguna — undone mainly by plateau weather and morning mainland banks. Aena 2025: 7,174,977 passengers, 87,030 operations, 12,570 t cargo.
TFS · TFS is Tenerife’s high-volume leisure machine: one clear Aena terminal, usually friendlier weather than TFN, and solid TITSA/taxi links to the south resorts — undone mainly by winter-sun security and passport banks plus chain-heavy airside food. Aena 2025: 13,969,678 passengers, 92,309 operations, 707 t cargo.

Morning mainland banks plus fog risk — not a south-resort timetable
Treat TFN as a city/domestic hub with weather attitude: pad the morning banks and never assume clear skies at 633 m just because the coast is blue.
One terminal — confirm TFN, not TFS, before you celebrate the café
Compact single-terminal flow: the failure mode is booking or taxiing to TFS, or lingering pre-border when your flight needs passport control.
Nivaria or landside meal — airside is chain-and-grab territory
Functional north-island F&B—not a food destination. Plan calories before security or inside Nivaria / La Boutique if you have access.
Winter UK/Nordic banks beat summer for pure queue pain
Winter-sun Saturday mornings and Sunday evening returns are when TFS feels smaller than its passenger count—arrive earlier than the resort vibe suggests.
One terminal — clear security before you celebrate the café
Compact single-terminal flow: the failure mode is lingering pre-border when your flight needs passport control, not picking the wrong building.
Lounge reset or landside meal — airside is holiday-chain territory
Functional airside F&B for a leisure base—not a food destination. Plan calories before security or inside Montaña Roja.
