You walk the ramp
Official HDOT says there are no loading bridges. Budget sun, rain, and a boarding lift if you cannot do stairs.
Bags after check-in, carry-ons at the gate
Unlike Kahului, KOA screens checked mainland bags after the airline takes them. Your carry-on is inspected at TSA and again near the gate.
Premier Club is Hawaiian-only
HDOT lists one lounge. Priority Pass does not work here. No day pass, no Admirals Club, no Sky Club.

Official leftover 2 hours; TSA 4:35 a.m.
Official HDOT leftover is to arrive at least two hours before departure. Bags close 30 minutes out. TSA opens 4:35 a.m. and closes after the last departure.
Ground-level TSA, upstairs jet bridges
Check in, USDA, TSA, and the holdroom are one ground-level story. Official leftover then routes you to the second level to board through loading bridges.
Laniakea Cafe from 5:30 a.m.
Official leftover kitchens are Laniakea Cafe (daily 5:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m.) and Laniakea Express (daily 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.). Tiare Enterprise Gift Shop is TEMPORARILY CLOSED.
