KIR · A small one-terminal airport at Farranfore, between Tralee and Killarney. It handled a record 440,367 passengers in 2025, about 72% of them on routes other than Dublin (CSO). Ryanair is the only scheduled airline, flying to Dublin, London Luton and Stansted, Manchester and Frankfurt-Hahn, with Alicante and Faro in summer. A €5 million upgrade added a new arrivals hall and a bigger departure lounge in 2025. New scanners mean laptops and liquids (up to 2 litres) stay in your bag. There is one bar-restaurant, a gift shop and free Wi-Fi, but no lounge.
ORK · Ireland’s compact #2 airport: one 2006 terminal, Aer Lingus + Ryanair UK/Europe grids, The Kinsale Lounge opposite Gate 7, and Bus Éireann/Citylink coaches instead of rail — easy to walk, weather still owns the single main runway.
