Airlines pad three hours
HK Express and other T2 carriers tell passengers to arrive three hours before departure.
T2 is check-in only
Fifteen regional airlines check in at T2; boarding gates and arrivals remain in T1 until T2C opens.
T1 still has the real food hall
Airside T1 is the dining terminal; T2 is a check-in building with a 24-hour food court.

Use the airline's clock, not a generic two hours
Air Macau kiosks close 70 minutes before departure. Xiamen's published counter close is 60 minutes.
Zones A–D downstairs, lounges on the mezzanine
Plaza Premium is above Gate 9/9A. Plaza Premium First is next to Gate 10/10A.
Night flight suspensions are a plan, not today's board
CAM's March 2026 meeting said night suspensions are planned from Q4 2026 for reclamation and a new taxiway bridge.

HKG · A three-runway hub with a new T2 check-in building (opened 27 May 2026) feeding T1 gates by APM. Official 2025 traffic is 61 million passenger trips, not a 70 million capacity slogan. Airport Express is still the cleanest city link; Kyra Gate 23 is the Priority Pass room that is actually worth the walk.
MFM · A single compact Taipa terminal with a real light-rail stop at the north exit and a usable paid lounge, offset by airline-specific check-in rules, kitchens that close before the overnight departures, and a reclamation project that CAM says will include night flight suspensions from late 2026.
