HEL · Compact Finnair / oneworld hub under one roof: a 27–32 minute airport train, free tap-water stations, and a rebuilt lounge set. Finavia counted 16.98 million passengers in 2025; the first half of 2026 added 8.5 million.
TLL · Estonia’s ~3.49M-passenger Lennart Meri gateway 4 km from central Tallinn: one compact 24/7 terminal, classic ≤100 ml security, restored trams T2/T4 plus bus 2, and a Schengen-side Airport Lounge upstairs by Gate N1 — flat 2025 traffic after Ryanair cuts, with terminal expansion works through 2030.

Shopping and dining
Follow the airline pad, then Finavia's queue tool
Finnair asks 2 hours for short-haul and 3 hours for long-haul. Security itself takes 2–7 minutes after the queue.
Stay on the correct side of passport control
Schengen and non-Schengen share one building but not one airside. Walk times are short; the border is the delay.
Refill first, then use the new Schengen food cluster
Free tap water is the value play. Recent openings include Fazer Café near gates 19–20 and Luigi's at gate 40.

One terminal — Schengen gate N vs non-Schengen before you settle
Follow Schengen / non-Schengen signs first; the paid lounge sits upstairs by Gate N1 on the Schengen side.
Eat landside or use the lounge — airside is café-scale
Café-scale airside F&B; lounge food helps cardholders; city dining still wins.
