GDL · Mexico’s #3 airport and Volaris’ biggest hub—one crowded Terminal 1 with Priority Pass on both domestic and international sides, a new Mi Macro BRT into the city, and rideshare via an off-terminal patio, while a second passenger terminal is still years away.
CLQ · A straightforward one-terminal regional airport; the reported Salón Diamante should be confirmed before relying on it.

Build buffer for U.S. banks and holiday peaks
Domestic can look short while U.S. morning banks stretch curb-to-gate—do not copy a quiet midday hop onto LAX or ORD.
One terminal — wrong airside still costs you
Single building, two sterile products after screening—follow domestic vs international signs from check-in.
Eat after security when you can
Strongest chain density is airside in waiting rooms B/C and the inspection food court, not at check-in.
