BKK · Bangkok’s main international gateway: 62.9 million passengers in calendar 2025, SAT-1 on a 3-minute APM, Airport Rail Link 45 THB to Phaya Thai, and a large Miracle/Coral Priority Pass set after airline rooms left the network.
DMK · Bangkok’s northern LCC factory — simple T1 international / T2 domestic split, dense Priority Pass coverage, and a real SRT Dark Red Line escape from Vibhavadi traffic — but chronically near its ~30M design capacity with early-morning AirAsia/Lion/Nok banks that punish late arrivals.

Treat DMK like a busy LCC factory — early mornings bite
International: plan ~2.5–3 hours on busy days; domestic cabin-bag can work nearer 90–120 minutes off-peak.
T1 = international, T2 = domestic — verify before the curb
T1 international / T2 domestic after the 2019 swap — boarding pass beats any 2018 blog map.
