Timing

Desks die at 40 minutes — international opens 3 hours out

Registration and bags close no later than 40 minutes before departure; late passengers need an airline yes, not an airport yes.

International check-in typically starts 3 hours before departure; domestic 2 hours. T1 has a dedicated drop-off for online-checked bags from 5 hours to 40 minutes. Self-service kiosks on T1 floor 1 cover Utair, Red Wings, Yamal, RusLine, Smartavia, Izhavia and UVT Aero — everyone else still needs a desk.

Terminals

Domestic check-in is T1 and T2 floor 1 — T2 is not international-only

The ticket and the FIDS name the hall. Leftover maps that dump every domestic desk into Terminal 1 leftover-wrong the first-time page.

Domestic registration is on floor 1 of both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2; boarding is floor 2. International flights use Terminal 2: check-in floor 1, boarding floor 2 sector D. Transfer with through-check under 4 hours can stay sterile; over 4 hours you may exit and re-screen in sector A or B.

Lounges

Pay Iremel 3,000 ₽ — skip the 6,000 ₽ Agidel walk-up

Same T1 gate-2 corridor, wildly different till. Iremel has showers and an 80-dish buffet; Agidel does not list showers and will not take arrivals.

Iremel Lounge is T1 sector A floor 2 opposite gate 2 after screening, 3,000 ₽ walk-in, On Pass / Mir Pass / Every Lounge / Grey Wall / Persona Aero / RusPriority. Agidel opposite the same gate is 6,000 ₽ / 3 h (kids 2–12 3,000 ₽, under 2 free, +2,000 ₽/h after 3 h) and is really a J-class room. Kurai in T2 is 3,000 ₽ for international departures. Do not copy leftover Grey Wall 2,000 / 2,900 / 3,700 ₽ aggregator tags.

Live checks

EU/UK/US metal is still down — e-visa is not a Schengen workaround

Scheduled passenger flights to the EU, UK and US remain suspended. Air Arabia Sharjah is paused until 27 March 2027.

H1 2026 handled 2.2 million passengers with international traffic +7%. New 2026 metal includes Gelendzhik, Sukhum, Aktau and Bokhtar; summer 2026 also added Krasnodar and Cam Ranh. Apply for the unified e-visa only at electronic-visa.kdmid.ru (64 countries). UK/US/CA/AU/NZ still need a consular visa. UAV closures have paused the field for hours (31 Oct 2024, 24 Jan 2025, July 2025 knock-ons) — check the live board, not last week’s screenshot.

Two live halls: Terminal 1 domestic (37,800 m², 6 jet bridges, 1,500 pph) and Terminal 2 international (17,700 m², 3 bridges, 800 pph). Current T2 opened for full service in April 2021 — leftover “opened 5 January 2001” is the previous international building.
4,929,715 passengers in 2025 (operator briefing 27 Jan 2026): about 4 million domestic and 900,000 international. Tenth in Russia; second in the Volga district after Kazan.
22 km south-southwest of central Ufa (operator aerodrome page). Wikipedia leftover 25 km leftover-conflicts. No metro and no airport rail.
