Right now

On a typical day

~15 min through security at RNO, from our airport directory. Early mornings and holiday weekends run longer.

Budget that on top of check-in or bag drop and the walk to your gate. For your exact leave-home time, enter your flight above: the plan uses the live wait when there is one.

FAQ opens TSA at 4:00 a.m.; official advice is two hours. Contact-us FAQ: checkpoint operational at 04:00. Security page: typically around 4:00 a.m., 60–90 minutes before the first departure, hours subject to change. Terminal is 24/7; the sterile side is not.

How to get through faster at RNO

No CLEAR, no Global Entry, two hours
One first-floor TSA, typically 04:00. PreCheck yes. Official: no CLEAR lanes and no GE kiosks or enrollment.
Walk the FIDS at High Mountain Marketplace before you sit down. B and C are connected after security. Volaris is officially on C; everyone else floats. A third-party “Southwest = B, United = C” blog is a hint, not today’s gate.
JSX is not in this building. Official JSX hangar: 485 S. Rock Blvd (Stellar Aviation / east side). Check-in 20–30 minutes. Valet $30/day; JSX says self-park is not available. Do not clear the main TSA for a JSX departure.
Volaris GDL arrivals do not dump you at the bag belts. You clear CBP in the customs building north of the terminal, then walk to the main hall. Meeters wait near baggage-claim Door D. No Global Entry kiosks. Official currency exchange: none. Peso or dollar cash is a bank problem, not an airport desk.
