PMI is an efficient holiday factory with clear signage and strong bus links, but summer crowd waves, long module walks, and middling Aena lounges keep it firmly ‘solid, not special’.

Most important tips
A compact traveler cheat sheet for timing, terminals, food, and disruption checks.
Arrive ~2.5 hours before summer departures; security and passport peaks hit hardest 06:00–09:00 and 16:00–19:00.
Midday (roughly 11:00–14:00) and midweek shoulder days move faster; Friday afternoons and Sunday evenings are the worst for queues and car-hire desks.
Check A/B/C/D on your boarding pass and head that way immediately after screening—far gates can be a 10–15 minute walk.
Entry into modules is on level 4; boarding often drops to lower floors. Non-Schengen Module A needs passport control and can add a long extra leg if you lounge-hop from C or B.
Aena lounge F&B is average; a terminal bar or café often beats paying day-pass prices for snacks.
If you have Priority Pass, Mediterraneo is the least bad Aena room; without a card, spend the money on a real sit-down airside meal instead.
High seasonal volume means staggered charter waves, occasional taxi-rank piles, and knock-on departure delays—build slack, not optimism.
Formentor lounge remains closed for works; UK/non-Schengen arrivals can still face long EES/passport lines in peak weeks even when the terminal looks orderly.
Formentor is temporarily closed for refurbishment and cannot currently be used.
