4 hours before international flights; several checks before the gate.

The airport advises arriving 4 hours before international departures. Expect an ASF security check at the airport entrance (body search for pedestrians, under-vehicle search for cars), then baggage screening, check-in, FIA immigration and a polio-certificate check for residents and longer-stay visitors.

International CIP lounge by Gate 2, domestic by Gate 5.

International and domestic flights use separate sections of the same terminal building. Both CIP lounges are on the 2nd floor airside: the international one next to Gate 2, the domestic one next to Gate 5.

Food outlets unconfirmed; the CIP lounges serve snacks.

We could not confirm current restaurants or cafés in the terminal. Priority Pass, LoungeKey and DragonPass members can use the 24-hour CIP lounges, which serve snacks, fruit and soft drinks.

Moderate disruption: check your flight before you travel.

Regional fighting is disrupting flights between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and the Gulf. Riyadh's airport was closed by Houthi attacks and reopened with restrictions on 18 October 2026; most Saudia and flyadeal flights between Peshawar and Riyadh in mid-October were cancelled, and PIA suspended its Riyadh flights on 9 October. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has also been under emergency rule since 11 October. Check your flight before leaving for the airport.
