Building and F&B track the departure programme — winter ski banks are crowded; shoulder-season HEL hops are quick.

Finavia contacts: the building opens two hours before the first departure and closes after the last departure. Café and Shop Kittilä are flight-tied. Off-peak HEL turnarounds are calm and compact; peak Levi/Ylläs winter banks (especially Christmas–New Year and February school holidays) can fill check-in, security, and the coach curb at once. Aim earlier than a typical Finnish regional airport in high season.

Single terminal; navigation is trivial — Lapland airport-code mix-ups are the costly error.

Check-in, security, Kittilä Café / Shop, and the gate / apron stands share one terminal. There is no pier train and no second passenger building. Mixing up KTT with Rovaniemi (RVN), Ivalo (IVL), Kuusamo (KAO), or Kemi-Tornio (KEM) on a Lapland multi-airport trip is the expensive failure mode — those are separate road journeys across the north.

Real café/shop cluster when the bank is staffed — not a round-the-clock landside mall.

Finavia’s Shop Kittilä page places the shop next to Kittilä Café and states service follows departing flights (souvenirs, Finnish delicacies, tax-free drinks). Treat F&B as bank-tied, not a 24/7 food court. Eat in Levi, Ylläs, or Kittilä village before very early or last-of-day flights if you need a guaranteed meal.

Resort buses are the ski default; taxis cover gaps; pay parking in the app.

Finavia’s public-transport page: Tunturilinjat for Levi, Liikenne Rundgren for Ylläs, Matkahuolto for Muonio/other — off-season often requires advance booking. Taxi curb is flight-tied left of the entrance; pre-booked cars use the right side. Self-drive parking is cheaper in EasyPark/Moovy/ParkMan than at the lobby machine.
