Most important tips

Know before you go

A compact traveler cheat sheet for timing, terminals, food, and disruption checks.

Night close

Do not plan a middle-of-the-night arrival

The published aerodrome is normally shut from 2359 to 0700 UTC, or 2300 to 0600 UTC in the bracketed season, except search-and-rescue and medical flights.

Winter local time is the same as UTC. In summer, local time is one hour ahead. Christmas Day is normally closed except SAR and MEDEVAC.

Works

The departure lounge is still a building site

No1 Lounge opened in July 2025, and the wider departure-lounge rebuild was still the 2026–2027 project in the 2025 annual report.

Fast Track security was completed in early 2025. Self-service bag drop was still blocked by supplier issues for 2026. Seating and the café move while the hall is rebuilt.

No1

The only lounge starts at £28

No1 Lounge is airside after duty free. A direct three-hour booking includes Fast Track. A Priority Pass, LoungeKey, or DragonPass visit does not.

The operator opens daily from 05:30. Priority Pass lists later closes that differ by weekday. Showers are not advertised. Champagne is extra.

Airlines

Blue Islands stopped in November 2025

Ports of Jersey says the airline’s collapse cut capacity late in 2025. Loganair restored part of it. Not every old route came back by year end.

Q1 2026 passengers were up 2.2% on Q1 2025. KLM had started Amsterdam, and Aer Lingus had restarted Dublin, as of the 8 April 2026 airport note.

Blue Islands stopped in November 2025; not every route was restored
Arrivals parking pages disagree (£1 per 30 minutes vs £1 per 15 minutes)

Terminal navigation guide

Terminal-change and gate-area notes pulled from the markdown guide.

From Terminals & Navigation

There is one passenger terminal. Departures and arrivals are separate halls, with their own forecourts, bus stops, and car parks under Airport General Direction No. 1.
Departure drop-off is outside the Departure Hall. Do not leave a car unattended there. The departure bus stop is after the drop-off and is for authorised buses. The taxi queue is after that, toward arrivals, and is not public parking.
The main public car park is opposite Departures. Short-stay parking sits next to Arrivals. The arrivals bus stop is outside Arrivals, between the short-stay entrance and exit.
The departure lounge is mid-refurbishment. The 2025 report looks ahead to a first phase in 2026, with tax and duty free and a Genuine Jersey store. Concept drawings of a finished mezzanine are not the room you walk into now.
A family area opened in the main terminal, then a temporary facility was put in for the works. Toilets, seats, and the café can shift while that work continues.
Self-service bag drop was not delivered in 2025. The KPI note says supplier issues were still to be resolved for implementation in 2026.

Ground transport guide

City-transfer, rideshare, train, and parking guidance from the markdown guide.

From Ground Transport & Parking

There is no airport railway. The AIP transport line is buses, coaches, and taxis. Straight-line distance to St Helier is the AIP’s 4 NM, about 7.4 km, not a road distance.
LibertyBus route 15 is the airport bus. On the published weekday timetable, Liberation Station at 05:25 reaches Airport Forecourt at 05:55. Daytime gaps are often about 15 minutes. Late trips run toward 23:30–23:45. The timetable extract used here does not print its own validity date, so check libertybus.je on the day.
Cash fares were not confirmed from a live fare table on 18 October 2026. Do not budget from an older third-party fare.
Turn-up parking: 45 minutes free in Long Stay. Departure and Long Stay are £1 per hour. Arrivals is £1 per 30 minutes on the turn-up page and £1 per 15 minutes on the information page. Pre-book prices are promotional and separate from those turn-up rates.
No taxi flat fare is published on the airport pages checked. Use the marked taxi queue after the departure bus stop. Car rental is signed off the approach; those bays are for hire cars only.
De-icing is by arrangement with Swissport on +44 1534 747105. That is an airline/handling number, not a passenger shuttle.

Lounge & amenity notes

Lounge, food, and quiet-spot picks pulled from the markdown guide.

From Lounges, Food & Amenities

No1 Lounge, opened July 2025, is the only named lounge. It sits in departures after security, after passport control, and after duty free, one floor up.
Walk-up prices start at £28. The operator accepts Priority Pass, LoungeKey, and DragonPass, plus eligible British Airways and KLM guests. The airline rules are not spelled out beyond “eligible,” so check the boarding pass before you rely on them.
Complimentary food and standard drinks are included. The bar lists beer, wine, sparkling wine, spirits, and soft drinks. Champagne is charged. Wi-Fi, flight screens, and TVs are included. Showers are not listed.
Operator hours are “open daily from 05:30,” with no close time on that page. Priority Pass, on 18 October 2026, closes at 20:30 Monday, 20:00 Tuesday, 21:00 Wednesday, 20:30 Thursday, 21:00 Friday, 20:30 Saturday, and 21:00 Sunday. Use the earlier of the two if they disagree on the day.
Dress code is smart casual. Sports shirts, vests, flip-flops, exposed midriff, and offensive slogans can be refused, with no refund. No smoking or vaping. Children under 2 are free on the Priority Pass conditions. Groups of more than 8 must email. Stag and hen parties are refused.
Landside and airside food outside the lounge is the AIP’s “restaurant and buffet,” plus whatever temporary café is open during the departure-lounge works. World Duty Free was still part of the rebuild plan, not a second lounge.

Editorial guide tricks

The markdown guide's highest-signal tactics before the data-backed tips below.

From Best Airport Tricks & Hacks

If you only need to drop someone off, use the 45 free minutes in Long Stay. The airport moved the free period there and raised it to 45 minutes. Do not assume the old 30-minute main-car-park rule still applies.
Read both parking pages before you use Arrivals. The turn-up page charges arrivals at £1 per 30 minutes. The information page charges arrivals at £1 per 15 minutes. Departure and Long Stay turn-up are £1 per hour on both pages. The barrier is the charge that counts.
Book No1 direct for three hours only if you want the Fast Track add-on. A Priority Pass, LoungeKey, or DragonPass entry is the lounge without that lane.
Enter No1 no earlier than the product allows: up to three hours before scheduled departure on the three-hour product, or 1.5 hours on the shorter product. Priority Pass also caps the stay at three hours.
The Priority Pass page, checked 18 October 2026, says the lift to the lounge is out of service until further notice. The location is the next floor after duty free, by stairs or lift. Do not count on the lift.
Skip a late-night connection. The published closure is 2359–0700 UTC, or 2300–0600 UTC in the bracketed season, except SAR and MEDEVAC. Christmas Day is normally closed the same way.
Treat Loganair’s East Midlands, Norwich, and Paris services as announced on 8 April 2026, when the airport used the future tense. Confirm the day you fly. The same note said KLM’s Amsterdam service had started and would be daily in July and August, and that Aer Lingus Dublin was back at up to four flights a week.

01

LayoverTraveler Tips & Hacks

The airport is not a 24-hour field

UK AIP hours: not normally available 2359–0700 UTC (2300–0600 UTC in the other season) except SAR or MEDEVAC.

Administration is 0700–2100 UTC (0600–2030 UTC) and by arrangement. 25 December is normally closed except SAR and MEDEVAC.

02

TransportTraveler Tips & Hacks

Use Long Stay for the free 45 minutes

Drop-off free time is 45 minutes in Long Stay. Departure and Long Stay turn-up are £1 per hour.

The turn-up page prices Arrivals at £1 per 30 minutes. The information page prices Arrivals at £1 per 15 minutes. Pay whatever the barrier charges.

Watch-out

The two official arrivals rates do not match.

03

LoungeTraveler Tips & Hacks

Lounge cards do not include Fast Track

No1’s operator page includes Fast Track only when you book three hours direct.

Priority Pass, LoungeKey, and DragonPass are accepted for the room. Eligible British Airways and KLM guests are also named, without the cabin rules printed.
