Timing

The terminal shuts overnight

Open 05:30–21:30; bag drop closes 40–45 min before.

The terminal opens at 05:30 and closes at 21:30 unless late flights run, so you cannot wait or sleep inside overnight. Check-in and bag drop close 40 minutes before UK and international departures and 45 minutes before Dublin flights, and the airport says these times cannot be extended.

One small terminal, one security lane

Single terminal; everything is a short walk.

Check-in, Café Oasis and WHSmith are landside, with the café and WHSmith on the first floor. After security you pass the Rendezvous lounge on the left and reach the departure lounge with Costa Coffee, the Ellan Vannin Bar and the Skylines shop. You may have to wait briefly on the gate stairwells or in the pre-boarding area while aircraft are turned round.

Airside there is Costa Coffee, the Ellan Vannin Bar and the Skylines shop, which sells Manx gifts, drinks and toiletries. Landside, Café Oasis on the first floor overlooks the airfield and is open to meeters and greeters. Outlets close in the evening once departures finish, and nothing is open 24 hours.

Status

Rendezvous Executive Lounge

One lounge; Priority Pass or paid entry.

The only lounge is the Rendezvous Executive Lounge, run by Menzies Aviation, on the left just after security. It admits Priority Pass members, eligible frequent flyers and lounge-card holders, and anyone willing to pay a fee. It opens 06:00–20:00 on weekdays, 06:00–14:00 on Saturdays and 10:00–20:00 on Sundays. Children under 12 are not admitted.

Isle of Man Airport (IATA IOM, ICAO EGNS), also called Ronaldsway, is the only commercial airport on the Isle of Man. It sits on the south-east coast near Ballasalla and Castletown, about 6 nautical miles south-west of Douglas. The Isle of Man Government's Department of Infrastructure runs it.
623,475 passengers used it in 2025, 4.4% fewer than in 2024 (airport statistics). Every flight leaves the island: mainly to the UK and Ireland, plus holiday charters.
One passenger terminal with a single security checkpoint. The terminal opens 05:30–21:30, longer when late flights run, and closes overnight.
Year-round flights: Loganair to Birmingham, Edinburgh, Liverpool, London Heathrow, Manchester and Newquay; easyJet to Liverpool, London Gatwick and Manchester; Emerald Airlines for Aer Lingus to Dublin.
Seasonal flights: easyJet to Bristol in summer and to Geneva in winter (Saturdays from 19 December 2026). FlyDirect Holidays charters go to Faro, Málaga and Palma in summer and Tenerife South in winter.
Two runways, 08/26 and 03/21. A Bus Vannin stand is right outside the terminal, and Ronaldsway Halt on the steam railway is about five minutes' walk away.

Single terminal. Check-in and arrivals are on the ground floor. Café Oasis, WHSmith and toilets are on the first floor, at the top of the escalator.
Security leads into the departure lounge. The Rendezvous Executive Lounge is on the left just before the main seating area.
Gates are close to the departure lounge. New seating was added near Gates 4 and 5 in 2025. Some boardings involve a short wait on the gate stairwell or in the pre-boarding area.
Works on the outside of the terminal were in progress in October 2026, but the airport says the building is fully open.

Bus Vannin: frequent services from the stand outside the terminal. Northbound buses go to Douglas (Victoria Street), where you change for Laxey, Ramsey and Peel. Southbound buses go to Castletown, Port Erin and Port St Mary.
Taxi: the rank is directly outside the terminal and taxis meet incoming flights. The airport says rank fares are metered, and many local firms offer fixed fares if you book ahead.
Car hire: rental desks are in the terminal. The airport lists Athol, Hertz and Mylchreests.
Parking: cashless car parks paid via RingGo, and a free pick-up and drop-off zone with no waiting. Check the airport's parking page for current tariffs.
Douglas is about 6 nautical miles (roughly 11 km) north-east. By road it takes about 20–30 minutes (estimate).

The information desk next to arrivals sells bus tickets and Go cards and can take RingGo parking payments. It opens at 05:30 and stays open until the last arrival.
Ronaldsway Halt on the Douglas–Port Erin steam railway is about a five-minute walk away. It is a request stop: signal the driver to stop and tell the guard if you want to get off there. The railway runs seasonally, so check the timetable.
Connect to the free "IOMG Manx Telecom Wi-Fi" network and accept the terms to start a session.
There is no left-luggage service or currency exchange at the airport. An ATM in the main entrance lobby dispenses Manx and UK sterling.
