Timing

Arrive 3 hours early for international departures

Security and immigration bottlenecks hit 20–60+ minutes at peak.

Allow 3 hours minimum. Smart Pass and Seoul Station city check-in skip lines when you are eligible. Security and immigration can exceed 30–60 minutes in morning and evening banks.

Terminal

T2 for Korean Air and Asiana; T1 for most others

Check the boarding pass — inter-terminal shuttle takes 10–15 minutes.

Asiana moved all flights to T2 from 14 January 2026. Korean Air has been in T2 since the terminal opened in 2018. T1 still handles oneworld and most other foreign carriers. The free shuttle is 10–15 minutes.

Food

Airside Korean counters beat another convenience-store kimbap

Strong food scene with late options; refill stations beat bottled water.

Landside has more variety; airside after security is convenient for layovers. Many kitchens run late. Convenience-store water is ₩2,000–3,000 for 500 ml — refill stations are the value play.

Status

Star Alliance Gold or Priority Pass unlocks multiple rooms

Matina and Sky Hub are the PP defaults; do not assume Asiana T1 is dead.

Matina remains the strong Priority Pass food pick in T1 and T2. Sky Hub is the longer-hours backup (watch the 21:30–22:00 close on several listings). Eligible Star Alliance passengers on Asiana-operated T2 flights use Korean Air T2 lounges. T1 Asiana PP rooms remain for Star Alliance-operated T1 departures.

Incheon International Airport (IATA ICN / ICAO RKSI) is Seoul’s main international airport. Official site airport.kr. Two terminals, T1 and T2, linked by a free shuttle and AREX.
Official IIAC calendar-year totals: 2024 71,156,947 passengers; 2025 74,071,475 (73,554,772 international / 516,703 domestic; 425,760 movements). Label 74 million as 2025, not an undated “74M.”
Terminals (IIAC airline list): T2 is Korean Air, Asiana, Jin Air, Air Seoul, Air Busan, Delta, and other T2 carriers. T1 is Jeju Air, Trinity, Eastar Jet, Air Premia, and most other foreign airlines. Asiana moved all flights to T2 from 00:00 on 14 January 2026 KST.
After the move, Asiana-operated T2 departures use Korean Air T2 lounges. Live Priority Pass still lists Asiana Business Lounge Central / East / West in T1 for Star Alliance-operated flights — do not delete those PP rooms.
AREX Express: official adult fare ₩13,000; 43 min to T1 / 51 min to T2. AREX All-Stop (여객운송약관 별표 2, in force 27 Dec 2024): Seoul Station → T1 ₩4,450 / T2 ₩5,050. Do not keep ₩4,150 / ₩4,750 (that ₩4,150 cell is 공항화물청사, not T1). No official Express online ₩11,400–11,500 fare was found.
Priority Pass (live directory, 18 Sep 2026): Matina T1/T2 06:00–22:00 (max stay 3 hours). Sky Hub T1/T2 mostly 00:00–21:30 and 22:00–23:59 (max stay 5 hours; T1 East listing bars children). Asiana T1 Central 06:00–22:00, West 06:00–00:30, East 07:00–20:00. oneworld Lounge remains T1 near Gate 28 (4F) — not Priority Pass.
