Timing

Treat 23:00 as wheels-on, not as a boarding time

Gimpo’s civil curfew is 06:00–23:00 KST; a late inbound is more likely to divert to Incheon than to sneak onto 32R.

KAC posts domestic bag-drop as generally closing 30 minutes before scheduled departure. International city-pair last banks leave well before 23:00 — live 18 Sep 2026 still showed a 20:50-class SHA departure, not a red-eye.

Terminals

Domestic and international are different buildings

There is no airside walk. Wrong hall means a landside shuttle or the basement moving-walk to the other terminal, then a second security (and immigration on the international side).

Official shuttle stop ⑧ is in front of Domestic 1F Gate 4; international leftover-prints stop ⑤ in front of 1F Gates 1–2. The subway is under Domestic 1F west — international passengers still walk that way.

Food

Eat landside at Lotte Mall if you have 45 minutes

Lotte Mall Gimpo Airport is attached and posted 10:30–22:00 daily (mall; restaurants and cinema differ). Airside food is thinner, especially international.

Official Lotteria sits on Domestic 1F east, next to a maternity lounge with a water purifier. CU 김포공항국내선점 is in the Domestic 3F sterile waiting hall — last shop before a domestic gate, not a place to buy liquids for an international departure.

Live checks

Use BioPass on domestic 3F; watch the curfew, not just the delay board

KAC split BioPass and physical-ID queues on Domestic 3F in July 2025. Same-day BioPass registration gets a dedicated lane.

Priority search booths exist for pregnant passengers, children, disabled passengers, multi-child families (three children under 19), and age 80+. Evening delay plus a 23:00 wheels-on cap is the GMP-specific miss, not a long immigration queue.

Gimpo International Airport (IATA GMP / ICAO RKSS) is Seoul’s city airport, 15 km west of downtown, operated by Korea Airports Corporation. Official site airport.co.kr/gimpoeng. Address leftover-prints 112 Haneul-gil, Gonghang-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul 07505.
KAC calendar-year passengers via the Korean Wikipedia table citing 한국공항공사 공항별 통계: 2024 22,990,599; 2025 22,962,089 (18,524,429 domestic / 4,437,660 international; 127,464 movements). Label 22.96 million as 2025, not an undated “23M.” English Wikipedia’s GMP page still leftover-prints 2019 (25,448,416) — do not use that as current traffic.
Two passenger halls, no sterile link: Domestic Terminal (Jeju-heavy banks; 9 jet bridges) and International Terminal (city-pair shuttles to Tokyo-Haneda, Osaka-Kansai, Nagoya-Centrair, Shanghai-Hongqiao, Beijing-Capital/Daxing, Taipei-Songshan, Kaohsiung). A 2017 MOLIT plan for a second domestic terminal by 2025 is not open — KAC’s live work in 2025–2026 is a domestic 3F departure-hall re-layout plus SGBAC (business aviation) jobs, not a new public hall.
Civil curfew 06:00–23:00 KST (wheels-on, not clearance). KAC customer centre 1661-2626 is posted 06:00–23:00 year-round. Live 18 Sep 2026 FlightAware is a Jeju machine plus evening HND/KIX/SHA/KHH metal — first listed departure 06:00 to CJU.
Gimpo Airport Station is under the west side of Domestic 1F: Line 5, Line 9, AREX All-Stop, Gimpo Gold Line. Seohae Line opened here 1 Jul 2023. Official English leftover-prints three or four of those names depending on the page — do not treat a missing Seohae mention as proof it isn’t there. AREX Express does not stop at Gimpo.
Priority Pass at GMP is Sky Hub Lounge only, international airside near Gates 35 and R1. Live PP 18 Sep 2026 leftover-prints 06:30–20:00 (a second cell leftover-prints food to 20:10) and leftover-prints both a 3-hour and a 5-hour max stay on the same page — confirm in the app. A domestic boarding pass will not clear international exit control.
