Timing

Do not clear security before T-3

GLA systems only accept boarding passes from three hours before departure — earlier attempts at security or Priority lanes get refused.

FlyerTalk regulars report the rolling window is hard; landside coffee or short-stay parking is the fix if you arrive too early.

Terminal

Treat T2 as check-in only

Jet2/Ryanair-style T2 is a landside bag-drop annex — after check-in you still walk into the main terminal for security and all gates.

Airside is one connected building split into East (easyJet/Loganair), Central (BA and many shorts) and West (international/Emirates) piers.

Food

Skip WHSmith snacks for M&S or a lounge

Grab M&S Simply Food airside for proper food-to-go; Beardmore is the workhorse sit-down after security if you are not lounge-eligible.

Caledonia Bar has runway views; Pret, Greggs, Starbucks and Tortilla cover the chain map — none is destination dining.

Status

Lomond by day, BA if eligible

Priority Pass should pre-book Lomond before 17:00; BA Silver/Gold and one world Sapphire/Emerald use the refurbished Central Pier BA lounge instead.
