Security is the short queue
In 2025, 90% of observed security queues were 7 minutes 37 seconds or less, inside SACAL's 8-minute target.
The terminal is being rebuilt
SACAL has had works underway since 2024. The 2026 charter says the departures side is being renewed and the floor plans will change during the year.
Two bars, not a food court
The charter lists a bar by check-in, a bar in the boarding hall, and vending machines. A new airside restaurant and duty-free were still described as 2026 projects.

Check-in is the bottleneck
Check in online; the security queue is short, the check-in desks are not.
One terminal, no left luggage
Single terminal; no left-luggage desk.
No lounge: use the gate bars
No lounge or Priority Pass; airside bars near gates 3, 6 and 10.
REG · A one-terminal Strait airport that Ryanair turned into a small international base in 2024, with short published security queues and almost no lounge or restaurant choice while the building is still being rebuilt.
SUF · Lamezia Terme is a compact, 24-hour single-terminal gateway that handled a record 3.05 million passengers in 2025. Security is fast by SACAL's own measurements and the station shuttle runs frequently, but there is no lounge and check-in queues are slow.
