ORF · A compact two-building Hampton Roads field with $14 daily parking, a new FIS hall, and genuinely local airside food — undone by two separate TSA portals, no passenger lounge, and no bus to the curb.
PHF · Virginia Peninsula gateway with **American Eagle** nonstops to **Charlotte (CLT)** as the clear scheduled pin — **no Priority Pass lounge** verified on research day; HRT bus Route 116 and Amtrak Newport News Transportation Center (~1.5 mi) support ground; ORF/RIC remain denser alternatives.

Read the concourse on the boarding pass before you queue. The wrong portal means reclear until the lobby checkpoint opens.
