KGD · KGD is Kaliningrad's compact, 24-hour single-terminal airport, almost entirely domestic after 2022 and a record 5.0 million passengers in 2025. Short walks and cheap long-term parking count in its favour. Against it: no rail link, no Priority Pass, roubles-only payments for foreigners, and knock-on delays when Moscow or St Petersburg airspace closes.
PLQ · Lithuania's small seaside airport, about 7 km from Palanga and roughly 30 km north of Klaipėda. It handled a record of about 448,400 passengers in 2025. Winter 2026/27 routes: SAS to Copenhagen, airBaltic to Riga, Norwegian to Oslo, Ryanair to London Stansted, Norwegian to Bergen over Christmas, and a Sharm el-Sheikh charter. Departures split into Schengen and non-Schengen zones, each with a Caffeine café and duty-free shop. There is no lounge. Buses 3 and 31 run to Palanga and Klaipėda.
