Named airside F&B (Holy Burger / Il Maestro / So Very Greek)KTEL Santorini airport busFree Fraport-Free Wi-FiHellenic Duty Free + small retail
JTR · A compact Fraport Greece Cyclades leisure gateway north of Kamari — solid single-terminal navigation, named summer F&B, and a cheap KTEL hop into Fira, undercut by peak-summer queues, no Priority Pass lounge (unlike JMK), and seasonal Meltemi / apron pressure.
JMK · A tiny single-terminal island airport that is easy to navigate but turns into hub-level queue chaos in peak summer, trading short walks for long security lines, basic food, remote stands, and wind-driven afternoon delays. Fraport Greece counted 1,581,742 passengers in 2025 (−2.0%).

Compact gate seating
Summer JTR is a capacity problem sitting 10–15 minutes from Fira
In Jul–Aug arrive when check-in opens (often 2.5–3 hours before departure); winter/shoulder 2 hours is usually enough for domestics.
One campus — and no Priority Pass lounge to hunt
Single Fraport Greece terminal; do not plan on a Priority Pass lounge — JTR is missing from PP’s Greece list and Shop & Dine has no CIP page.
Named cafés beat “mystery snack bar” — still not a destination meal
Holy Burger, Il Maestro, So Very Greek, French Bakery, and duty free cover calories; eat a real meal in Fira / Oia when the schedule allows.

Treat summer JMK like a major hub
In Jun–Sep, arrive 2.5–3 hours before intra-Schengen flights; security and check-in queues routinely exceed 60–90 minutes.
One terminal, two moods
Everything is in one building — landside is tiny; airside gets packed fast, so clear security then claim a seat immediately.
Eat before security or accept limited choice
Airside food is basic café/snack fare with long lines at peak — grab a real meal in town or landside if you have time.
