Be at the desk three hours out
Royal Brunei opens airport check-in three hours before departure; online check-in runs 48 hours to 90 minutes, but print-at-home boarding passes are currently off so you still visit a counter.
One hall, upstairs to fly
Walk in at departures level for check-in, passport control and security; the airside hold is a short walk to Gates 1–5. Arrivals, bags and the Dart/taxi curb are downstairs.
Eat landside; airside is two cafés
After security you are looking at Starbucks and Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf plus snack counters. Real meals are landside: Anjung Saujana, Tarindak, Cilantro’s, plus KFC, Jollibee and Burger King in arrivals.
BWN · A genuinely small, easy national gateway — one hall, short screening, city in 15 minutes — let down by thin airside food, no global rideshare, buses that die at dusk, and a Sky Lounge whose buffet and elevator are both currently out.
MYY · Sarawak’s Miri MAHB gateway with solid Grab ground access (~MYR 16–25 / ~20 min to city) and a single passenger terminal — but no Priority Pass lounge on the Malaysia index research day (peer KCH Travel Club not present here).
