Most important tips

Know before you go

A compact traveler cheat sheet for timing, terminals, food, and disruption checks.

Transport

Take the €3.70 train to Porta Susa — skip the €40 taxi habit

Train €3.70 / ~30′ to Porta Susa is the default; Arriva €7.50 or Flibco from €3.99 when rail is asleep; taxi ~€40.

Caselle Aeroporto station sits opposite Arrivals on the SFMA / Torino–Ceres corridor. Trenitalia and SAGAT both publish ~30 minutes and €3.70 to Torino Porta Susa (also Lingotto, Rebaudengo Fossata, Corso Grosseto). Weekday windows: Porta Susa 05:01–21:25 outbound; airport 06:00–22:28 inbound. Tap&Tap contactless validators work at marked machines. Use Arriva (€7.50) or Flibco (from €3.99 online) only when the rail window is closed or you need Porta Nuova without changing.

Security

Buy Fast Track €9 for the CT 2 L lane — standard is still 100 ml

Fast Track €9 04:30–21:00 = CT 2 L leave-in-bag; standard lanes = classic 100 ml.

Only the Fast Track priority filter has the 3D scanner that lets you leave liquids up to 2 L per container and electronics inside the cabin bag (SAGAT FAQ, e-commerce, Carta 2026). Standard security still wants the classic ≤100 ml / 1 L clear bag. Fast Track runs 04:30–21:00, costs €9 adult / €4.50 child 2–12, under-2 free with an authorised adult; Torino Airport Pass and some airline cards include it. Lounge day-pass buyers who purchase online or at the ticket office get Fast Track bundled.

Lounge

Piemonte Lounge airside until 21:00 — PP or €32 day pass

Sole public airside lounge 04:30–21:00; PP or €32 (Fast Track included on online/ticket-office buys).

After security, climb to the upper level of the Departures / boarding hall (Priority Pass: follow lounge signs; stairs). Open daily 04:30–21:00. Access via Priority Pass / partner cards, Torino Airport Pass (holder + one guest), or €32 day pass (VAT incl.) on ecom.torinoairport.com, the app, ticket office, or lounge desk — online/ticket-office purchases include Fast Track. Snacks, aperitifs, soft drinks, dedicated Wi-Fi, lockers, digital newsstand, TVs (SAGAT). Children under 2 free; ages 2–12 50% off. No smoking/vaping; smart casual. Late banks after 21:00 have no lounge.

Food

CRAI + Baladin landside, gate cafés airside — refill free water

CRAI/Baladin landside; airside cafés; free Wi-Fi; free water dispensers reported near gates 2 and 22.

Landside has a CRAI supermarket (first inside an Italian airport per SAGAT marketing), McDonald’s, Tramez and Open Baladin Torino Aeroporto (Carta 2026 openings). Airside covers duty-free, bars and gate F&B plus a Fun & Game / kids area on the upper boarding level. Free drinking-water dispensers exist (Carta QoS; traveler reports near Gate 2 corridor and Gate 22 toilets — confirm on the day). Charging totems and free Wi-Fi (SSID commonly “Torino Airport Wi-Fi” after email register) throughout.

Honest verdict

Who this airport works for

Best for

City breaks using the €3.70 Porta Susa train
Priority Pass holders departing before 21:00
Ryanair / Wizz / easyJet / ITA leisure and ski feeder traffic
Travelers who want CT 2 L liquids without a mega-hub

Watch out for

Piemonte Lounge and Fast Track both close 21:00 — late banks are on their own
Standard security is still classic 100 ml if you skip Fast Track
Taxi ~€40 — use the train unless you have heavy ski bags late at night
Do not confuse with CUF Cuneo or French GVA for Alps trips
