KSU is a one-terminal airport, so walking times inside are short — the schedule risk is west-Norwegian coastal weather on a lone 07/25 runway with no parallel taxiway, plus the published ~25-minute local-bus hop into Kristiansund when you are connecting into town. Pad same-day OSL/BGO connections even when the landside hall looks empty. The terminal opens two hours before the first departure and closes after the last flight movement; overnight stays inside are not allowed (Avinor contact page).

Check-in and bag drop sit landside in the single passenger terminal (the 2017 rebuild is the building travellers use today). After security, Point and Tax Free are the published retail set — there is no second fixed-wing terminal and no airside train. A separate helicopter terminal sits about **150 m** east for offshore crew — scheduled airline passengers stay in the west passenger terminal. Re-check screens; gate calls still move when low cloud or wind slows the field.

Kristiansund harbour food still wins if your timetable allows; do not plan a sit-down airside meal from the current directory alone.

For town, Avinor documents ordinary local buses on the Dale and Vikan corridors (~**25 minutes**; four departures per hour from Arrivals toward the centre). There is **no dedicated airport coach product** and **no rail**. Taxi rank at the building; rental cars from Avis / Europcar / Hertz / Sixt.
