How to get through faster at IDA

Arrive 2 hours; then watch the 45/30 close
Official leftover two hours. Passenger close leftover Alaska/Allegiant/American 45 min; Delta/United 30.
One scheduled-pax hall. AirNav leftover: two miles northwest of downtown Idaho Falls at 4,743.7 ft. Live Terminal Map leftover still titles a recently remodeled terminal and links the 2022 PDF leftover (Gates A1–A3 / B1–B3, upper-level food court, ATM, pet area, rental-car counters at bag claim, admin offices, single security checkpoint). Older leftover map still prints Gates 1–3 and Kathryn’s. Read FIDS.
Official 5 Feb 2026 leftover: $12 million federal Community Project Funding toward a ~$60 million / ~27-month first-phase expansion (baggage screening, safer bag-cart loading, expanded ticket counter and queueing). Aug 2026 council leftover reprints Phase 1 at $56 million (originally $70M+), ~24 months TBD, with the utility/infrastructure enabling package scheduled through 16 Sep 2026. Leftover vs leftover; expect construction noise and moving walls, not a second terminal.
