A compact traveler cheat sheet for timing, terminals, food, and disruption checks.
Flibco from Terminal B stop 14 — ~1h15 Mainz / ~1h50 FRA / ~2h10 Frankfurt Hbf; book online to beat curb fares.
There is no S-Bahn or ICE under the terminal. The primary coach product is the BOHR Omnibus / Flibtravel shuttle sold on flibco.com: Hahn Airport Terminal B (stop 14) → optional Simmern Hospital request stop → Mainz Hbf West entrance → Frankfurt Airport long-distance bus lot P36 → Frankfurt Hbf long-distance bus terminal (area E). Summer 2026 published running times from Hahn are about 1h15 to Mainz, 1h50 to FRA P36 and 2h10 to Frankfurt Hbf (traffic can stretch that). BOHR’s published adult one-ways start from €16.99 online / €22 curb (Hahn–Mainz) and from €18.99 online / €25 curb (Hahn–FRA or Hahn–Frankfurt City); under-4s free with an adult. Online tickets get priority boarding and delay SMS; buy before you leave the gate area on busy banks. Airport pages also list other regional coach links (Koblenz, Luxembourg via Trier, Saarlouis/Saarbrücken, Berlin via Mainz/Frankfurt, etc.) — check the live PDF for your date. Taxi ranks sit in front of the terminal (Airporttaxi-93 and Big & Small Taxitransfer are listed on the official taxi page); Frankfurt city by taxi is an expensive long Hunsrück run — coach first unless you split a private transfer.
Classic 100 ml LAGs; allow ~3 hours during the 2026 terminal rebuild.
Official security pages still publish standard EU LAG rules: ≤100 ml containers inside one transparent resealable ≤1 L bag, shown separately; laptops out; coats/jackets and loose metal into trays. Empty bottles and drinks before the checkpoint; the information desk sells spare 1 L bags for €1 if you forgot yours. The airport homepage currently warns of longer queues at boarding-pass check, security and outbound border control while the terminal is being rebuilt (arrivals/departures consolidation and security modernisation) and recommends arriving about 3 hours before scheduled departure. Ryanair now requires digital boarding passes in the app — printed copies are rejected. Ryanair bag drop self-check-in is available from 2 hours before departure (app + Bluetooth + location). Non-Schengen flights still need Bundespolizei passport time; Morocco itineraries need a passport valid >6 months per the airport passport page.
No PP/walk-in lounge; airside Coffee Fellows is the default wait spot.
Priority Pass’s Germany lounge directory lists BER, BRE, CGN, DRS, DUS, FRA, HAM, HAJ, LEJ, FMO, MUC, NUE, SCN and STR — not Hahn. There is no walk-in or airline contract passenger lounge for scheduled Ryanair / Wizz / FlyOne / Air Serbia / Air Arabia traffic. After security, the practical sit-down is Coffee Fellows in the Hall A security area (bagels and coffee); landside options are BäckSnäck Jung in Hall A and Coffee Fellows in Hall B. Bring a jacket for the airside visitor terrace when it is open; do not expect showers, quiet rooms, or Priority Pass credits here.
No free fountains on official pages; buy landside or use restroom taps.
The official Eat & Drink and Shopping pages do not list free passenger drinking fountains. Plan to buy sealed bottles at Elephant Market To Go (public Hall A — drinks, snacks, travel goods) or at BäckSnäck Jung / Coffee Fellows before screening, then refill an empty bottle at restroom taps after security if needed (German mains water is potable). Airside, Travel Value / duty-free soft drinks and Coffee Fellows cover sealed bottles. Expect café 0.5 L bottles commonly in the mid-€2 to high-€3 range (shelf prices move — check the tag). Terminal food follows flight banks; the building itself stays open 24 hours.
