Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport

Arrive 90 minutes before departure for 06:00–08:00 flights; 60 minutes is usually enough later in the day.

The terminal is tiny, but check-in desks and one security lane get hit hard when multiple Ryanair flights push at once — that is the only regular bottleneck.

There is effectively one terminal hall — airside gates are a short walk from security with no train or shuttle.

Follow gate numbers on the main board; do not expect separate piers or long walks. Wrong-level mistakes are rare because there is almost no vertical complexity.

Landside café options are more reliable than the limited airside selection — grab food before you clear screening on longer waits.

Airside has basic snacks and drinks, but choice collapses when several flights board together. No full-service sit-down restaurant worth planning around.

Check the airport departures page for security/wait notes and your airline app for gate and delay pushes — FKB itself does not run a rich native app.

Gate changes are announced late and the terminal is small enough that you will hear them, but digital confirmation still saves a scramble when buses to remote stands are used.
