HSIA closes international check-in 1 hour before departure. Biman asks 3 hours at DAC; boarding gates typically 20 minutes.

Hajj/Umrah banks are longer. After the boarding pass you still reclear departure immigration (Immigration-1/2/3 near the check-in rows) and a second AVSEC check at the gate — shoes off. Foreign passports fill an immigration card; Bangladeshi passports do not.

International arrivals and departures share one building. T3 is construction; the 16 December 2026 date is a targeted soft opening, not a live hall.

Domestic is a separate single-storey hall to the left. Priority Pass labels every international lounge “Terminal 1” because that is the same international building. Do not walk to T3 for a flight. Heavy hold bags enter through Heavy Luggage Gate-6, not the VIP door.

HSIA puts a washroom beside every boarding bridge. Filtration is unpublished. Lounge water is the quality pick if you already hold access.

Duty-free sits after departure immigration and before arrival immigration. Airside cafes exist but there is no public HSIA food-price list — skip leftover SEO BDT bottle figures and leftover McDonald’s / Starbucks. Buy a sealed bottle landside in the departure concourse if you want certainty before security.

Four international Priority Pass rooms list 00:00–23:59. Skylounge is the best-reviewed (max 6 h). Balaka’s à la carte and alcohol are extra on PP.

HSIA FAQ: after immigration, lift or stairs to the 3rd floor for Balaka. DragonPass and Cathay list showers at Balaka; Priority Pass’s own facility list does not. UCB international max stay 4 hours. Domestic UCB (06:30–21:00) and MTB (06:30–20:30) are a different hall.
