Timing

Arrive 2 hours early for domestic

Security and boarding can queue quickly during peaks.

International needs extra time for immigration. Morning and evening domestic banks queue fast.

Terminal

Confirm CTU vs TFU, then T1 vs T2

T1 Sichuan domestic; T2 Air China and mixed. Many flights now use TFU.

Long-haul is usually Tianfu (TFU). At Shuangliu, Sichuan Airlines concentrates in T1; Air China and mixed traffic in T2. Free landside shuttle every few minutes; terminals are also one metro stop apart.

Food

Eat landside in T2 before security

Limited hot options airside; landside is better value.

Duty-free and convenience stores dominate post-security. Landside has more Sichuan options.

Status

Star Alliance Gold = Air China T2, not Sichuan

Air China lounge for Star Gold; PP is spa credit only.

Sichuan Airlines is not Star Alliance. Star Alliance Gold on a qualifying same-day flight uses the Air China lounge near T2 Gate 154. Priority Pass here is a massage treatment, not a food lounge — do not plan a PP meal.

Two terminals. Hub for Air China (Star Alliance) and Sichuan Airlines (not an alliance member). Confirm CTU vs TFU — Tianfu took most long-haul.
CAAC 2025: 33.52 million passengers at Shuangliu (national #12, +3.4%). Chengdu two-airport system 90.20 million (TFU 56.69 million).
Metro Line 10 serves both terminals; landside shuttle between T1 and T2.
Priority Pass at CTU is spa/massage credit (Comfort Zone / Legang Massage in T2) — there is no Plaza Premium–branded lounge and no traditional PP buffet lounge.
Star Alliance Gold uses the Air China lounge in T2 (near Gate 154), not Sichuan Airlines.
China Eastern lounge T2 opposite Gate 139: 06:00 until last flight; MU/FM boarding pass.
