New Chitose Airport

Domestic ~75–90 minutes when quiet; international ~2–2.5 hours; tourist attractions are additive.

Domestic cabin-bag passengers who already know the JR/bus arrival can often work with about 75–90 minutes curb-to-gate when queues are calm. International check-in plus security and passport control still wants about 2–2.5 hours on a normal day — and longer in ski-season peaks, Golden Week, Obon, and year-end. If you plan Royce’, Ramen Dojo, or the onsen before flying, that is extra landside time, not part of the minimum connection buffer.

New Chitose is CTS; Okadama is OKD. PP Café Sky Library is international landside, not a domestic airside lounge.

CTS is New Chitose. OKD/Okadama is the small in-city field. Inside CTS, JR, the big shopping/food decks, and most domestic gates sit in the Domestic complex; the International Terminal is a connected but separate building with its own check-in and CIQ. Priority Pass Café Sky Library is landside on International 4F — useful before you clear outbound immigration, useless after you are airside. Always read Domestic vs International on the boarding pass before you leave the JR concourse.

Landside ramen / Royce’ / konbini first; airside is backup; onsen is paid leisure.

Landside Domestic is the real food airport: Hokkaido Ramen Dojo, Streetcar Dining, seafood counters, and Royce’ Chocolate World for souvenirs. Konbini (FamilyMart / Lawson-style) are the value water and snack buy. Airside options exist but are thinner than the landside mall — eat before security when your boarding time allows. The airport onsen is a paid soak, not a lounge substitute.

PP → Café Sky Library before immigration; domestic paid → Super Lounge; ANA rooms need status or premium cabin.

Open Priority Pass the day you fly. CTS’s contracted soft product is Café Sky Library (International 4F landside) with card last entry 18:00 — earlier than the café’s food last order. It is not a full hot-buffet airline lounge. Domestic travelers without ANA/JAL rights usually want Super Lounge / Annex (¥1,500 or eligible Japanese gold card + boarding pass). ANA Lounge / Suite Lounge near Gate 7 are entitlement-only on ANA-group flight numbers.
