Alibus €4 / ~25′; rail ~600 m + Airlink €1.40; taxi flat €27 to Duomo/Centrale (trial to end-2026).

AMTS Alibus is the official city shuttle from Terminal A: first departure 04:40, last 00:30 next day, about every 25 minutes (SAC + AMTS). Ticket €4.00, also valid 90 minutes on other AMT urban lines — buy on the bus (cash/card), AMT Catania app, or AMT retailers. Ordinary AMT 90-minute / daily tickets and FCE metro tickets are NOT valid on Alibus. Regional coaches (AST, Interbus, SAIS, Etna Trasporti, Circumetnea, …) use the new Bus Terminal (ex-P2, west side). Train: Catania Aeroporto Fontanarossa station is ~600 m on a signed pedestrian path, or take the AMTS Fontanarossa Airlink shuttle (Trenitalia: every ~10 min 04:30–22:40; €1.40 bus add-on on the rail ticket; SAC Carta also describes an AMTS shuttle linking the station and AMTS Fontanarossa parking). White Comune taxis at Arrivals: experimental flat €27 Airport↔Piazza Duomo or Centrale through 31 Dec 2026 (Comune delibera Jun 2026); meter table from 1 Jul 2026 includes a €9 airport right — insist on licensed white taxis (Radiotaxi +39 095 330966 on the airport site).

100 ml LAG rules; Fast Track €10 04:30–22:00 Terminal A only; no Fast Track in Terminal C.

SAC’s liquids page and passenger guide still require LAG containers ≤100 ml inside one clear resealable ≤1 L bag, shown separately at screening — there is no published EDS C3 “2 L in the bag” waiver at CTA (unlike BLQ/BGY/NUE). Fast Track runs 04:30–22:00 and exists only in Terminal A (SAC); buy online from €10 on the SAC e-shop (eshop.aeroporto.catania.it, Fast Track – TA). VIP Card / some airline contracts also unlock the priority lane. Terminal C has no Fast Track — easyJet/Schengen-only departures there use standard security. Summer leisure banks and Etna ash disruptions can stretch waits — use the CTA Airport app for live queues when published.

PP = Angelo D’Arrigo airside 05:00–23:00 (€45 day pass); ITA Bellini landside 04:00–21:00 (no PP).

VIP Lounge “Angelo D’Arrigo” (ex-Bellini branding on older pages) sits airside in Terminal A boarding, opposite gates 5–6 / Priority Pass lists floor 3 after security. Hours on PP: 05:00–23:00 daily. Access via Priority Pass, LoungeKey / Lounge Pass, premium partnerships, or SAC day pass €45 adult / €35 child on the e-shop; SAC describes ~400 m² / ~200 seats, buffet, work zones and high-speed Wi-Fi. PP’s live facility flags currently emphasise soft drinks, Wi-Fi, workstations, TVs and phones — food can feel limited versus the brochure, and PP does not currently flag complimentary alcohol. Separate landside ITA lounge “Piazza Vincenzo Bellini” (from 19 Dec per SAC) is open 04:00–21:00 with check-in inside and Fast Track a short walk away — ITA Business / Volare Premium & Executive / SkyTeam Elite Plus / eligible Amex / SAC VIP Card only; not on Priority Pass. Same-day CTA boarding pass required for paid SAC lounge entry.

McDonald’s + cafés landside; airside retail after security; free Wi-Fi; no left luggage.

Terminal A landside has McDonald’s (SAC Carta lists roughly 06:00–21:30) plus cafés for granita, sandwiches and espresso; airside duty-free and gate F&B cover the boarding hall. Terminal C has lighter F&B (landside and airside). No left-luggage or nursery on site (SAC Carta) — use Centrale KiPoint / Radical Storage in town if you need a bag drop. Free Wi-Fi throughout the passenger buildings (SAC Carta); charging points landside and near gates (Carta notes further points at Terminal A gates and 36 in Terminal C).
