Domestic off-peak can work ~60–90 minutes; peak leisure banks and all international need more; no sterile domestic↔international transfer.

Domestic cabin-bag passengers who already know the hall can sometimes work nearer 60–90 minutes off-peak, but holiday and Friday/Sunday GMP banks routinely eat that cushion at check-in and ID/security. International wants about 2–2.5 hours curb-to-gate on a normal China / Japan / Taiwan bank. Same-day domestic↔international self-connects need full landside time — there is no sterile walk. Do not plan to sleep landside overnight.

Read the boarding-pass terminal / flight type before you commit to a lounge, meal, or curb exit. Korean Air and Asiana Priority Pass lounges sit on **Domestic 3F landside** — useless once you have already cleared international CIQ. International is the smaller wing; domestic food courts and CU density are far stronger. Follow live FIDS, not a 2019 blog map of gate numbers.

Landside and domestic-side CU, bakeries, and Korean food-court plates (kimbap, noodles, fried chicken, coffee) are the reliable everyday fuel. Buy sealed water before security. International airside options are thinner and close earlier than a hub airport — do not plan a sit-down dinner after a late international arrival.

PP: KE Lounge is the broad option; Asiana is OZ-metal only; both landside Domestic 3F.

Open Priority Pass before domestic security. Korean Air Lounge (3F near check-in, 06:00–21:00) is the flexible PP default and does not require KE metal. Asiana Lounge (next to Asiana check-in, often to ≈22:40) only admits Priority Pass guests on **Asiana-operated** flights and rejects payment cards for entry. Neither room helps once you are airside international. Paid KAC waiting rooms are privacy products, not buffet lounges.
