A single Fraport Greece terminal for western Crete: 4.15 million passengers in 2025, a €2.70 KTEL bus, and no published lounge. Summer non-Schengen departures are the stressful part; winter international flying almost disappears. Fraport does not publish an on-time rate, so none is shown.

Chania International Airport and the Chania city center
3 ways into the city, compared on time, cost, and luggage.
No lounge is listed on the airport site: not Aegean, not a contract lounge, not Priority Pass. The services index stops at lost property, baby care, first aid, ATMs, car rental and Wi-Fi. Don't buy a day pass you cannot use, and don't expect a shower or a quiet room.
Fill a bottle at the landside coolers before security. Fraport Greece has listed public coolers in baggage reclaim, in the departures and arrivals hall, and one before the checkpoint. Airside reports from 2020 through 2024 consistently say there is no passenger fountain past security, and the Refill café has refused bottle fills.
