Most important tips

Know before you go

A compact traveler cheat sheet for timing, terminals, food, and disruption checks.

Timing

Arrive 3 hours early for non-Schengen

Security and passport control often exceed 30 minutes.

Lines spike mornings and weekends; allow 3+ hours for international departures.

Terminal

Use CDGVAL for quick transfers

Free automated shuttle links T1, T2, T3 in 5-8 minutes.

Avoid long walks; runs every 4 minutes and serves train stations too.

Food

Eat before security in T2

Airside options are limited and pricey in many halls.

Landside brasseries and bakeries offer better value; stock up on water and snacks pre-security.

Status

Extime is pay-in; Priority Pass is YOTELAIR only

Do not walk to Extime expecting Priority Pass. Confirm YOTELAIR T2E in the live PP app.

Live Priority Pass lists only YOTELAIR in T2E (airside non-Schengen, 3-hour stay). Extime T1 and T2B/2D sell walk-up / web entry — adult member web rates start at €95, showers from €115. Star Alliance T1 is entitlement, not PP.

Honest verdict

Who this airport works for

Best for

Fast rail links to Paris
Star Alliance connections
24/7 transport options

Watch out for

Complex terminal layout
Long security queues
Expensive airside food
RoissyBus ended 1 Mar 2026 — use RER B or Express 9517 via Saint-Denis-Pleyel
